JOB SUMMARY
Troublesome Creek Medicine has an opening for a nurse with an exciting, new organization in Buckingham County.
Our team will truly make a difference in our community. This will be a unique experience that will combine providing care
in multiple settings including the office, patient's homes, and other requested locations. Troublesome Creek Medicine will provide care
to meet our patient's needs. Our service provides care in the traditional setting but also will be mobile for those who aren't able to travel,
too sick to get out of bed, and for those who get sick at work.
Must be willing to assist in treating patients of all ages: adults, children, geriatric, infants.
Must be willing to provide care outside of the patient care traditional office setting.
LPN/RN job duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
Completes patient assessment to include height, weight, vital signs, chief complaint, current medications, etc.
Prepares patient for provider evaluation, including obtaining specimens, positioning for exams, listing medications,
assisting during exams and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Administers medications and injections as directed by the provider.
Maintains work area, exam, treatment rooms and lab in a clean, safe manner, restock with supplies and instruments.
Documents patient information in the electronic medical record.
Provides patient teaching as indicated and directed by the provider, including lab results, diet instructions,
medication instructions, appropriate follow up, and reinforcing provider instructions as needed.
Assists with referral authorizations for specialists and pre-authorizations for testing and ancillary services.
Assists with lab procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required.
Experience: At least 1 year of acute care experience required.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a LPN/RN in the State of Virginia required.
Licensure as a Radiologic Technician is preferred. Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
Other: Customer driven. Demonstrate a positive demeanor, good verbal and written
communication skills, and professional approach.
Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients, to include providing vaccinations.
